December 1, 2017 by Austin Blankenship Leave a Comment

Cobra Golf has unveiled their line of new F8 clubs for 2018. Seeking to offer improvements for all areas of the game, Cobra will be releasing new drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids under the F8 model.

Drivers

The biggest update from the F7 to the F8 driver is the first 100% CNC milled face found on any driver in the industry. This innovation makes for a level or precision that makes the club face 3% lighter and 11% thinner. Tiger Woods Comeback: What’s in His Bag?

December 1, 2017 by Austin Blankenship Leave a Comment

Tiger Woods made his return to competitive golf in the Hero World Challenge in a big way. He was shooting a 3-under 69 after the first day and sitting at -6 at the time of this writing. Woods last competed this past February, and has not played a competitive round in 301 days. With this hot start during his most recent comeback, we wanted to show you what equipment Tiger is using on the course this weekend.

Woods signed a deal with TaylorMade in January, but underwent back surgery before he could be fully integrated into the company’s lineup. Tiger Woods Argues for Changes to Golf Ball

November 8, 2017 by Austin Blankenship Leave a Comment

Change the golf ball, or prepare to change the golf course. This is the argument presented by Tiger Woods, who is undertaking his most recent comeback from back surgery. Without adjustments, Tiger believes PGA Tour events will all need to be played on courses close to 8,000 yards.

In an interview with UConn women’s basketball coach Geno Auriemma, Tiger described the need to rollback the ball. “We need to do something about the golf ball. I just think it’s going too far, because we’re having to build golf courses, if they want to have a championship venue, they’ve got to be 7,400 to 7,800 yards long.”

Woods said that he is amazed at how far he has been able to hit the ball during his preparation for a return to PGA Tour events. “I can’t believe how far I’m hitting the golf ball,” said Woods. “I’m back to hitting it my full numbers and not really trying to do that. I didn’t realize how much I had dropped off because of the pain in my back and from me going at it and hitting it normal just because I just lived it from day to day and I really couldn’t tell the difference. But now I can tell the difference.”
