Counterfeit Titleist 910D2 Driver

October 23, 2019 by Austin Blankenship Leave a Comment

We recently received a counterfeit Titleist 910D2 Driver. This club had some obvious differences from the authentic version. While we didn’t have another 910D2 in stock, we were able to compare it with a 910D3. Check below for a description of the differences and a look at some side-by-side comparison photos.

Counterfeit Titleist 910D2 Driver Differences

  • One of the most noticeable signs that this club wasn’t authentic was the poor craftsmanship on the shaft adapter. The adjustable pieces are not aligned and don’t fit together properly.
  • Another obvious difference from the authentic club is in the coloring of the lettering on the bottom of the club. Both the Titleist logo and the 910D2 text are much darker than the authentic version. Even if you did not have another 910D2 to compare it with in person, you could easily spot this by simply comparing it to authentic photos found on Titleist’s website.
  • The font for the loft is very close to the authentic version, but it has some slight differences.
  • The Titleist emblem on the crown is too close to the front edge on the counterfeit club.

Counterfeit Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 Putter

Counterfeit Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 Putter

We recently had someone try to sell us a counterfeit Scotty Cameron putter and we decided to post some pictures to help everyone out.  This particular model came out in 2008 and is the Studio Select Newport 2.

While counterfeit clubs are getting better in quality, it is still pretty easy to spot the counterfeit when comparing side by side with an authentic club.

The problem is that most of the time you will not have an authentic club to compare it to.  If it is a newer model club that is still available in stores, you should take it to an authorized retailer so you can compare them side by side.  If your putter is a different model, search around Google to see if you can find pictures of a counterfeit like yours.

However, if you are unable to find one exactly like yours, the pictures and details below should help you get an idea of some of the common differences between an authentic Scotty Cameron and a counterfeit.

Identifying Counterfeit Ping G30 Driver

April 26, 2017 by hfenn 6 Comments

We received a counterfeit Ping G30 Driver and have posted pictures below to show the differences between an authentic driver and the counterfeit we received.  In comparison to other knockoff clubs we have had traded in to us, this counterfeit Ping G30 is pretty well made.  The quality isn’t nearly as bad as many of the other clubs we have had sent to us.  Even though it is better than some, there are still several easily noticeable differences when compared to an authentic Ping G30.

Counterfeit Titleist MB 710 Iron Set

August 31, 2013 by hfenn Leave a Comment

We received a counterfeit Titleist MB 710 iron set today and happen to have a set of the real thing to compare them to. Unfortunately the real set we had did not have the original grips, so we couldn’t compare the grips, but look at our posting for the counterfeit AP2 irons and that should help. Below are some comparison pictures as well as a few of the differences pointed out.
